•Shop/wine critic/winery review (from sidewalkshoes.com) - On the nose: yellow fruit, lemon curd and yellow cake mix. Smells of stale lemon bars and pie crust. It is robust on the palate, smooth and sleek. It has dynamic characteristics like it’s crisp citrus notes, rocky minerality and a kiss of spice. It is a medium bodied white that works well both in the winter and summer.
We really enjoyed this wine, it was a bit unusual. Tart with lemon, yet had a nice mineral finish.
•My Review: This was my least favorite wine of the group. It was supposed to be lighter, but I immedietely was hit with some weight. There was a lot of citrusy flavors, and seemed tart and acidic. Ironically, I wrote down that it reminded me of cat pee before I knew that was not an uncommon flavor profile to experience in wines. I wrote that I gave it a 3.5 out of 8 and would not pursue it again.
