•Shop/wine critic review: (from winemag) Nicely concentrated, smoothly polished and with good structure, this wine balances power and grip with a graceful mouthfeel and ripe but not overripe black-cherry flavors. Packaged with a wrap of gold netting, this wine has moderate tannins and medium to full body, so it will be enjoyable on all kinds of occasions.
•Your review: I have always had a vendetta against Coppola wines. My thinking is that if you have a good enough product you do not need to associate it with a historical name to make sales. It tasted about as I expected- mediocre. I thought the cherry stood out both on the palate and nose, but ofther than that there was nothing distinct. The flavor profile was not very complex. Sort of reminded me of grape juice without the acidity or sweetness. Seems like the bottom fell out.
